Dieser luxuriös anmutende Phonograph verfügt über einen großen Schalltrichter aus Mahagoni. Das Material sollte neben einem edlen Äußeren auch einen besonders weichen und doch voluminösen Klang produzieren. Die sichtbaren Metalloberflächen sind mit oxidiertem Kupfer beschichtet. Geräte dieser Art wurden bis etwa 1920 gebaut. Der Preis des Idelia Modell E lag bei 279 US-Dollar und damit fast beim Dreißigfachen des preiswertesten Edison Phonographen Modell GEM (10 US-Dollar).
